Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We decided to celebrate Christmas a little different this year. Instead of buying gifts for each other, we decided to spend some time together as a family. We had originally planned to go to Utah and visit friends and family but was asked to assist with Daniel and Jackie Parry's sealing. So we quickly booked a hotel in Denver and headed out! That's it so far. We will keep everybody posted! So the Saturday following the sealing, we went to the Denver Aquarium. Here are a few pics of our adventure!!

Thankful for Thanksgiving

Last Thursday was Thanksgiving and I am very thankful for all that we were able to enjoy!

For starters on Wednesday Matthew, Kenyon and I went up to Co. Springs to enjoy family at game night! It was pretty interesting and fun to say the least! We only played Yahtzee. It was fun! We stayed in a Hotel, because there was no room at the Hepworth Inn! Just kidding. Matt played "Turkey Bowl" with all of his brothers and Dad. He had a lot of fun but pretty sore since his tail bone is pretty bruised. We then went back to the hotel to get ready for family pictures. The pictures were pretty crazy, just like any Hepworth gathering, but it turned out good. We then had dinner with everybody and headed back to Pueblo for dinner with the Rhule family. The missionaries were there and a new convert. The food was great but we were pretty full already. Needless to say that made for an early night!! We are very thankful for the family we have and cherish them dearly!

long time

Hello all it's been quite a while since I las updated anything on our blog. We have kind of a slow internet at home so hang in there and don't give up on the blog!!

Halloween passed and Kenyon was a Bird!? a Plane!? no... SUPERMAN!!! he was so cute. Matt went to work in his African Outfit with a drum and I dressed up as a Princess! Pictures hopefully will be underneath this post. Matthew had to work on Halloween until 8:30 so Kenyon and I and my family went to the church trunk-or-treat which was really fun! After the trunk or treat everyone came to our house and went around the neighborhood. Kenyon thought that he didn't get enough on the first go around and we just had to go out!

All the people in our neighborhood got a kick out of him- especially since I had put him in the carrier and he was facing out with the cape on his costume draped over my shoulder to give the flying illusion. He did so good! We got tired and Matthew and my dad came to pick us up and we made one more stop at Grandma Carrie and Grandpa Glenn's. We took some pictures and relaxed for a little bit and then headed home. Kenyon and I stayed home while mom and dad went out and Matthew took the girls out to rent the Hulk and get some Pizza!

Everyone eventually made it back we watched the show and had an extremely late night!! But it was a blast!! Good thing we were able to sleep in on Saturday!

PS: Does anyone want some candy? It is late november and we still have a pumpkin full of candy!

Quirksters

Yes I am quirky and here are the facts:

1. I like to fold laundry!

2. I like to eat baby food. Especially the pureed bananas, rice cereal and carrots! And yes Kenyon is starting to eat all the pureed foods so I help him every now and then! Yum!

3. I like to make up my own songs as if I am in my own musical! Or create my own renditions of already existing songs!

4. I do not like sharp objects and fear cutting my fingers off. I do not like fire because it is also dangerous-- like during fireworks when matt lights firey rockets I think that the sparks may catch fire on clothes or houses!! Scary!

5. I try to think of worst case scenarios for situations and think of what I would do to get out of them. After thinking of what I would do I hash it out in my mind and think of where my plan might go wrong so that I can revise the plan. ie if a fire started in the kitchen and I was in Kenyon's room what would I do...

6. I have a lazy pinky toe. To explain when I stand up or put my foot flat on a surface most toes go straight with the to nails facing up, but my pinky toe lays to the side, not up. I have shown most of my family members it is such a conversation starter!! haha.

I hope I have painted a picture of quirkiness for everyone. Thanks this was fun! I think I will tag Matthew, Amanda for herself and since I don't think there are rules for this game I will have Amanda also note six quirks about her family-- Mike, Emma and Aaron.

"sneaky sneaky"

I was organizing our pictures on our computer and found a few from Matt's birthday of Kenyon and thought they were so cute. Heres the story:
Kenyon loves to suck his thumb, but on the sneaks, because if Matt or I see him we will usually take his thumb out and give him the pacifier. Well being the sneaky little guy that he is after Matt layed him on our couch he rolled into the corner of the couch and sneakily slipped his little thumb into his mouth and went to town. Matt and I caught him and called out his name and when he realized we were calling his name or looking at him he looked at us like, "what I wasn't doing anything!?" He is too cute. Anyway here are the pictures we took:
~~~ok so the pictures are soon to come because for some reason the pics aren't being allowed to upload, sorry-- I will have tech support (Matthew) look at the issue.
Rain Rain Go Away...
Hello again! Matt, Kenyon and Heather here just sitting on the couch this Saturday evening watching the Olympics. It has been raining for almost a complete three days and it sure has taken a toll on our house!!
On Thursday afternoon after a hard and fast rain came sweeping through Pueblo I walked down stairs to find a nice big puddle in the basement, by the back door. I looked out side and the drains from our walkway weren't draining the right way. I was so upset I told Matt right away and then threw an old towel down to soak up what it could. I thought that it was just a one time crazy thing that happened but the rain kept on coming and on Friday before Matt took Kenyon to Grandma Carrie's he discovered another puddle inside and out. Matt noticed that the gutters were not draining properly and the drains also were covered up so the water didn't have any where to go, except into our house! Today Matt spent most of the morning in the rain cleaning out the gutters and pulling weeds. The gutters were disgusting and the weeds were out of control! I am glad that Matt is willing to take care of these things because I wouldn't know how or where to start!!
While Matt was outside Kenyon and I stayed inside all nice and cozy playing and tidying up a bit. Matt finally came in and we got ready and went to get some lunch. Subway for me and Chinese for Matt. Matt took a nap-- lucky, and then Kaven came over. Matt must have been very asleep when I woke him up to tell him that Kaven was here because when I told him that Kaven was knocking he stood up really quick, rubbed his face and then ran into Kenyon's room!! I just had to laugh. When he came out he looked at me like "what just happened?" Way funny.
Anyway we are waiting for Phelps to swim again and then we are going for groceries. This is a pretty good update so I think that I will leave it at that.
Cat Scan
(Sorry, this was never put out)So today we took Kenyon in for his Cat scan. They asked that he be tired when we bring him in inorder for him to lay still. Kenyon, laying still?? Anyway, we went to bed kinda late, like usual, thinking Kenyon would wake up early and we would make him stay awake. One of the only nights he slept the whole night, was last night!! Can't complain though. We went to the hospital at 7:20 and were done by 8:00. Our Doctor will have the results within 48 hrs, so we will let everybody know what going to happen!!
